Post Graduate & Research Department of Botany

The UG and PG department of botany is one of the oldest departments affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam with the numerous challenges to harness the overt and covert opportunities, in order to satisfy our stakeholders. The UG department of Botany started in the year 1978 and PG department of Botany with Biotechnology as specialization was started in1995 with diligent and elevated academic standards. Our department acquired diverse educational programs with distinguished students, qualified faculties, illustrious alumni, varied co-curricular activities and adequate infrastructure. With the constant support of the management, Principal and other teaching and non- teaching staff, the department emerged as a center of excellence. Department of botany is fortunate enough by getting recognition as a Research Center on 20-11-2021 by Mahatma Gandhi University with the vision to take higher level of quality.
